What an INCREDI What an INCREDIBLE day! Hannan JrSr High welcomed Marshall University President Brad Smith to our campus today as our very own Green and White Day! Mr. Smith was a former Silicon Valley CEO who later returned to his West Virginia roots. His long-held mission is to uplift West Virginia's people and economy. He brought that message to Hannan today. In Smith's words: "Marshall is Big Enough to Matter but Small Enough to Care." Smith spoke about the Tuition Free WV program at Marshall that qualifying students can graduate debt free. Smith also spoke about the high demand jobs in Cyber Secuity and Marshall's outstanding program in Cyber Security. After his motivational speech, senior signing day was held for Hannan and Point Pleasant High students. Mason County Commissioner Rick Handley was in attendance today as well as other distinguished guests. After the ceremony, students were allowed to visit various Marshall booths to obtain information on Marshall; careers in Aviation and Liberal Arts. Thunder rolled into Hannan today and Hannan was thunderstruck with excitement!
