Congratulations to Summer Nance for placing 4th at the state convention for Future Business Leaders of America in the Business Ethics category. Summer will travel to Orlando this summer and compete at the national convention. Way to go Summer!
Hannan Junior Senior High School's Athletic Boosters will be hosting a bingo at the Moose in Point Pleasant Saturday, March 9th, at 1pm, doors open at noon. We will have concessions, raffles, split the pot, $5 special games. All proceeds go towards helping Hannan athletes. See you there!
Hannan's Local School Improvement Council will meet next Wednesday, March 13th, at 4:30 in the conference room. The 23-24 National Honor Society Induction Ceremony will take place the same night at 5:30 in the cafeteria.
This is a reminder to all Hannan seniors and their guardians that the Family FAFSA workshop will be held tomorrow, March 6th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm. Please view students' Class of 2024 Google Classroom for more detailed information and registration. Registration is not necessary for attendance. This week the Hannan FFA Chapter is celebrating FFA Week by participating in dress-up days to help promote Agriculture literacy, we had a staff appreciation lunch as a way to say thank you for all of the support we receive from the staff at Hannan, and we competed in a livestock evaluation contest where students were able to put their knowledge learned in the classroom in a competitive real-world environment .#MasonProud #FFAWeek24 #LongLiveFFA #FFA

Hannan Junior Senior High School will host a round 1 game of the Girls' Class A Sectional basketball tournament tomorrow, February 17th at 7 pm in the gymnasium. Doors will open at 6pm. Playoff ticket prices, set by WVSSAC, are $7 per adult, $5 per student. The first 20 Hannan students get in free. In the event of inclement weather, the game will be rescheduled. GO LADYCATS!

If you are still needing assistance in creating your FSA ID, please contact Mrs. Kennedy at 304-743-3212 or email at jkkennedy@k12.wv.us. We will be scheduling time slots for parents/guardians to work with a representative here at Hannan Jr/Sr High School on Friday, January 5th, 2023 from 1pm to 5pm for anyone still needing assistance.
This process can be completed anytime online, and your child should have brought home a handout outlining the steps to create an FSA ID on the last day of school before break. However, you will need to create your FSA ID three to five days prior to trying to complete the FAFSA.
Hannan Jr/Sr High School will be hosting a family FAFSA workshop to help families complete the final process for the FAFSA on January 10th from 5:30 - 7:30pm. You will not need to schedule a time slot for January 10th, but if you need assistance with creating your FSA ID please call to schedule a time slot for Friday, January 5th from 1 - 5 pm. Thank you.
